Camille Fishel

Camille Fishel is an emerging artist whose work combines bold, pop-inspired color with fluid, metaphorical movement. Drawing from her background in fashion and studies in architecture, she builds her paintings like sets—vibrant, dramatic, and slightly surreal. Her work explores femininity, identity, and the cultural pressures placed on women.

Her body of work aims to express the more lighthearted, fluid, and imaginative aspects of her life compared to her experience with the more structural ways of life and expression. She explains painting as her “complete creative release.” With art as an outlet she can project what is meaningful to her personal life. She explains that what is most important is the things we have around us “family, nature, fresh air,” and this is reflected in her paintings. Inspired by surrealism, she explains her act of creation begins in the imagination and flourishes on the canvas.
