Brandon Deener

Born in 1982 in Memphis, TN, Deener is an artist living and working in Los Angeles. Deener incorporates a musical background into his self-taught practice, believing in its ability to “bring people together. Much like good food.” His art is known for his elongated figures, depicting scenes of black life and leisure.

Recent solo exhibitions include Resonance (curated by Tony Shafrazi), Galerie 75 Faubourg, Paris, France (2025); Inward, Jac Forbes Gallery, Malibu, CA (2022); and Children of the Sun, Sol Searchin’, Simchowitz Gallery, Los Angeles, CA (2022).
